Officer Reports
President’s Report (Jack Keightley)
Thanks to those who volunteered their time the SCA booth at the St. Louis Boat & Sports Show. You could tell that the event is still impacted by the slow economy. There were fewer vendors than in years past and smaller crowds.
As a Club we also need to get stronger at supporting and volunteering during our planned & organized events throughout the year. With the depth of our organization we should be able to have more resources and participation available. I would invite everyone to encourage other members to help support our efforts throughout the coming year. Let's make 2011 Great!
Jack received a letter from Tom Robertson w/ the Parks Department asking who will manage, run, & maintain the other archery ranges around the area and who will apply for grants for the parks department. He also questioned what will happen to the built up Treasury if the St. Louis Archery Council is Disbanded. Jack will be responding that we will support, run, & maintain our own archery range.
The Winter League is up & running. However, it did start one week later in February than originally planned.
Jack created Veteran's Shoot Flyers and will have them available to drop off at your favorite sporting good stores, and hand out during the Boat Show.
Important: March SCA club meeting will be March 10, 2011 due to conflicts w/ St. Patrick's Day!

New Business
March SCA Club meeting will be moved to March 10, 2011 due to conflict w/ St. Patricks Day
Work day scheduled for February 19, 2011 to replace target buttes and wood frames w/ new steel angle iron frames..
Bob Urbanek has everything under control for our upcoming SCA Awards Banquet which will be catered by Kenerick's. The menu includes: Roast beef w/ Aus Jus, Turkey, gravy, mosticiolli, mashed potatoes w/ gravy, salad, cheese, & dinner rolls. (BYOB) Cost= $20/pp See Steve Sykora
A motion was made and passed to donate $300 dollars to Ridgewood schools NASP as supported by Tom Rizzo.
Former Vice-President Charlie Natsch made us aware of the "Master Met" competition where you race up the stairs of the Metropolitan Square building downtown in order to raise awareness and donations for the American Lung Association. A motion was made to at least donate $200 to support the cause or SCA will match whatever its members donate with the minimum being $200 dollars. Motion was Passed!
It was also brought to our attention that as a club we need to do a much better job meeting and greeting new members & guests. Please make a conscious effort to introduce yourself to anyone you see that may be new or that you just haven't met yet. We really do have a great organization! Let's show it!
For our Bow raffles we need to rethink when we need to draw for the raffle. We didn't get a strong turnout because nobody wants to wait several months to find out if they've won. It's also too close to hunting season to get a new bow ready.
Please support our SCA members who have family & friends serving in the Armed Forces.
