Meeting Minutes for May 2010 Meeting Read by Charlie Natsch, and Accepted by members present.
Officer Reports
President’s Report (Jack Keightley)
Jack opened the meeting by greeting Mitch Norris back and in good health. Mitch is an important member and valued friend to SCA.
Jack announced that the meeting would be solely about the upcoming Veteran’s Benefit Shoot & preparations.
Notes & Action Items for Veteran’s Shoot:
Setup would start at 6:00am on June 26th w/ a Friday evening June 25th target prep meeting to arrange stakes and get everything organized.
The range setup would be the same as last year w/ Jack Keightley making diagrams and target position directions for the crews to set out.
The parks department will be dropping off mulch and Rich Kurtzeborn will follow up on the dates & times.
Jim Keener has trimmed the course and will also bring extra bag targets and trim areas to place these practice butts.
Two tables will need to be set up for the auction area and those tables have been obtained.
Warning signs have been placed by the parks department.
The Flag Ceremony will take place at 7:45am with Marshall Sidwell’s Father’s Flag.
Jack has sign in sheets for the shooters
ATV’s & trailers will be provided by Jack Keightley, Wayne Sluhan, & John Burroughs.
Art Laturno will handle registration along w/ Steve Boyer (Tournament Secretary)
Rich will follow up w/ the parks department on having the back field mowed.
Marshall Sidwell and his wife Debbie has volunteered to run the silent auction.
Several attendance prizes were provided by: Marshall Sidwell, Mitch Norris, and Jim Keener.
Rich Kurtzeborn is donating a bow to be auctioned off.
Bob Urbanek is handling the trophies as usual.
Jack, Jeanine, & Mitch will make chili for the event as it is always a big seller.
Steve Sykora has checked and we do have enough score cards.
Ken Winkelman & Bob Urbanek will barbecue and run the concessions.
Jeanine Smith will pick up the food and Dave Nesbit will pick up soda, water, & ice.
Steve Sykora has also obtained another porta potty for the event.
Finally, a sign up sheet for the setup was passed around the meeting and more general discussion was led by Jack & Charlie. All items were covered and the club is prepared for the upcoming shoot. Thanks to all who attended and volunteered.
