Officer Reports

President’s Report (Jack Keightley)

No November meeting due to rifle season. Our next meeting will be December 15, 2011 which is also our SCA Christmas Party. Bring an Appetizer and also lots of can goods to help feed the needy. Thank you in advance for your generosity and we'll see everyone there.

Members present voted again & agreed to extend our gifts for less fortunate families to help 3 families with a $250 dollar gift card each to Wal-Mart. Families will be picked from the St. Bernadette Parish in Jefferson Barracks Park.

Jack wanted to thank everyone for their support for the past two years while serving as Club President. It's been a great RIDE!!!!

Vice-President’s Report (Joe Hajek)

Joe thanked Lloyd Keightley for spearheading the SCA Club Hunt. It was a great success w/ 33 people in attendance and 6 deer were harvested during the hunt. Way to go everyone! Also, thanks to Michelle & Chrys for their help at the event as well.

Bow season is now among and rifle season has just passed us so please send some of your harvest pics to us. Send them to info@southcountyarchers.com.

New Business

Becky Douglas is putting a letter together to send along with our Veteran's shoot flyer to help ask for donations/contributions for the event. She also asked if SCA wanted to donate some money to assemble a couple of gift baskets. If you would like to help with planning please see Becky at:

beckydouglass3@gmail.com We will discuss this further at upcoming meetings.

Start thinking about Winter League. Sign-up will be coming SOON.

Tournament shooters cannot shoot alone & you cannot score your own score cards.

Wayne Sluhan talked to the Joshua Chamberlain Society and they did confirm receipt of our donation. They apologized for the lack of correspondence.

For upcoming Tournaments there will not be a Bow Hunter Class just a Men's Open Class.

We should invite the Fisher House to our Veteran's Shoot.

Cub Scout Leader may give an archery demo to scouts this summer at our range.

New Rule for SCA club hunting and fishing outings. One paid member may bring one non-member to help increase our attendance and help promote new membership in our organization..

Veteran' Shoot next year will be April 14, 2012. Start working on companies now to get donations and contributions. (stay tuned for more details)
