President’s Report (Wayne Sluhan)

Sold 900 tickets on the Genesis Bow Package

Cleared about $730 due to 6 for $5. Ordered 100 more tickets

Still needing several membership renewals paid up for 2018

Proposed adding master bowhunter requirements to the SCA website

New phone system still experiencing issues. Get with Mike for direction on how to resolve

Motion to buy more credits/minutes to continue using the system

Secretary Report (Malcolm Grundy)

Share your pics & stories in the woods on our club Facebook site: South County Archers St. Louis. If you are not already on there go to the site and send me a request to join. Also, please invite other to like and join our site as well. Secondly, you can also email your harvest photos to pics@southcountyarchers.com so we can upload to a gallery site that we are putting together. Be on the lookout for updates to our website and social media pages. Lastly, if you know someone who you feel would be a good fit for our club please invite them to attend our functions and help sponsor them to become active members. Also, if anyone would like to purchase SCA apparel we have hats, polo shirts & T-shirts available for purchase. See Jon for details & to check available sizes.

Treasurer’s Report (Henry Drane)

Henry did a quick synopsis of our financials and mailed copies to board members. No foreseeable expenses and revenue should increase with upcoming events and fun shoots. Lastly, thanks to our solid members & our sponsorships our club remains financially strong.

Range Captain’s Report (Tom Munroe)

Swamp flooded and work rescheduled due to weather. Need tools to take apart butts and potentially ATV’s to access areas due to flooding.

Master Bowhunter Recorder (Ken Winkelman)

All eligible harvests have been reported and announced at the banquet. Please remember to send Ken your harvests for recording and points for the Master Bowhunter award. Submit all animals taken with a bow including birds, small game. Side note, Hummingbirds will score exceptionally well. Park Representative Report (Tom Rizzo)

Rizzo working with Parks Dept to arrange for dumpster access and cleanly remove garbarge

Membership Secretary Report (Jon Adams)

A few new members will be voted in at the February meeting

Mike Manion suggest more archery related info and less info about guns. Google search SCA to find a picture of the raffle for the AR15. Potentially negative image for the club

Kevin Butts wife leads a girl scout troop and asked SCA to lead a coaching session for the girls at JB on March 31st. Rizzo to check with parks dept on access. Parental supervision is necessary

Social events are necessary to stay in good standing with MDC and promote the club

Fred Gerber announced Friday fish fry’s at the quail club from 5-8pm. Coldest beer in the area. Also have an easter egg hunt TBD. Would get us a schedule of their 3-D shoots for the season.

Zach King wants to look into updating and selling more merchandise at events to promote the club and increase revenue.

Rizzo –importation of deer has reached the MO supreme court. More details to follow

Henry reminded everyone of the May benefit for Ronnie Snyder. Motion to buy a table at the event accepted by the majority
