President’s Report (Wayne Sluhan)

Henry Drane’s mother in law passed away while on vacation. Henry thanked everyone for the card and condolences. We need more volunteers for the veteran shoots on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Mitch sent the check for $600 for the club volunteering @ the St. Louis Boat Show. He also donated an additional four $25 Bass Pro gift cards that can be used at either Bass Pro or Cabelas.

Vice-President’s Report (Mike Gapsch)

6 total entries into the turkey contest, 2 of which are with a bow. We are still effectively selling tickets for the gun raffle. We have already sold enough to pay for the cost of the gun so any additional sales will be profit for the club. The raffle continues until the last fun shoot.

Secretary Report (Malcolm Grundy)

Share your pics & stories in the woods on our club Facebook site: South County Archers St. Louis. If you are not already on there go to the site and send me a request to join. Also, please invite other to like and join our site as well. Secondly, you can also email your harvest photos to pics@southcountyarchers.com so we can upload to a gallery site that we are putting together. Also, if anyone would like to purchase SCA apparel we have hats, polo shirts & T-shirts available for purchase. See Jon for details & to check available sizes.

Treasurer’s Report (Henry Drane)

Henry will prepare and send the financial report to the executive board. Fun shoots will now add to our revenue. We need to see about buying additional material for target butts and 3-D targets. The club remains financially strong.

Master Bowhunter Recorder (Ken Winkelman)

June 23rd summer classic is our next tourney. Please take flyers and post them anywhere around the city with permission from local businesses to help spread the word. Wayne will also be emailing the flyer other local clubs.

New Business/Old Business

The executive board will review the new graphic design ideas presented by Zach King and make a decision. Tom Rizzo is working to secure another guest speaker for our September meeting. The benefit for Ronnie Snyder is May 12th. If you cannot purchase a ticket, please consider donating. We currently have 8 paid seats for the SCA table. 2 remaining spots are available.

The Windsor Become an Outdoor Kid Program is June 6th. More details to come. Richard Kurtzeborn suggested lower fun shoot costs for non-members as it potentially could turn shooters away. The suggestion will be discussed at the next board meeting. Charlie Sharp Coon Shoot may potentially tied into a member appreciation fun shoot. More details to come. Mike Manion suggested an option to prepay the entire season of fun shoots in advance for a discounted rate. This suggestion will also be discussed at the next board meeting. A lady (unnamed) donated a batch of arrows. Most need repair but can be used at the bi monthly veteran shoots. Munroe suggest several of the 3-d targets need new inserts. Kurtzeborn shared his story of being taking hostage in his home by a neighbor.

Motion made to adjourn.
