President’s Report (Mike Gapsch)

Announcement of date change for Spring Warm-Up Tournament –New date is March 30, 2019

The club is exploring getting a bow for raffle prior to the Boat Show. Parking options for the Boat Show were discussed and tabled.

Last year’s gun raffle was extremely successful so the club is looking into options to do another raffle this year with a similar pistol.

The Big Game Hunters grant was applied for –the club was asked to sell raffle tickets for Big Game Hunters –A motion was made to purchase two tickets and passed.

Vice-President’s Report (Malcolm Grundy)

Secretary Report (Joe Maddock)

Share your pics & stories in the woods on our club Facebook site: South County Archers St. Louis. If you are not already on there go to the site and send me a request to join. Also, please invite other to like and join our site as well. Secondly, you can also email your harvest photos to pics@southcountyarchers.com so we can upload to a gallery site that we are putting together. Be on the lookout for updates to our website and social media pages. Lastly, if you know someone who you feel would be a good fit for our club please invite them to attend our functions and help sponsor them to become active members. Also, if anyone would like to purchase SCA apparel we have hats, polo shirts & T-shirts available for purchase. See Jon for details & to check available sizes.

Treasurer’s Report (Henry Drane)

The club is very sound on the target fund. Also in good position on the club side. Genesis Bow and gun raffle was once again very successful.

Range Captain’s Report (Tom Munroe)

No report

Ken Winkleman asked about the need for additional rock –Jim Keener will access and report back


Master Bowhunter Recorder (Ken Winkelman)

See Ken’s emails for details on all harvests recorded this year. Per Ken this is one of the highest number of entries submitted and a pretty close race at the top. Continue to email him your pictures as the season winds down. Posting to Facebook, though appreciated and encouraged, is not considered a submission to Master Bowhunter Scoring. Good luck down the stretch.

Award banquet is 3/24 so all harvests need to be reported before the end of January.

Don’t forget to turn in your Hours, you must have 8 hours through the year to be eligible for awards.

Park Representative Report (Tom Rizzo)

The club provided dinner to the County Parks for their Christmas Party

Park Ranger Robinson has announced retirement.

Membership Secretary Report (Jon Adams)

Renewals are coming in the mail.

The club is exploring online payment options.

Ronnie Schneider passed away recently.

Membership overall is very strong and online presence is up –please continue to share pictures, stories, ideas, etc to the clubs Facebook group

Tournament Secretary Report (Shane Walz)

Shane is working on ordering new targets.

New Business/Old Business

There is still a need for volunteers for the Boat Show at all times. Volunteers are given free admission to the show.

Indoor league starts January 22nd. The cost is $12/night at The Bow Shop. See Jon Adams if interested
